What Queens County Farm Museum Offers
Queens County Farm Museum brings together working-farm features and historic grounds across 47 acres. The site includes livestock, planting fields, an orchard, an herb garden, a greenhouse complex, farm vehicles and implements, and historic farm buildings.
The farm dates back to 1697 and is one of the longest continually farmed sites in New York State. That history sits alongside active agricultural areas, so you can take in both the landscape and the farm’s working features during a visit.
Queens Farm is owned by the New York City Department of Parks and operated by the Colonial Farmhouse Restoration Society of Bellerose, Inc.

Historic Farm Buildings and Grounds
The Adriance Farmhouse is the oldest surviving structure on the property. It was first built in 1772 as a three-room Dutch farmhouse, giving the site a tangible connection to its early agricultural history.
Beyond the farmhouse, the grounds include other historic farm buildings, a greenhouse complex and agricultural equipment. You can also walk among the planting fields, orchard and herb garden, with livestock and farm vehicles adding to the working-farm setting.
Weekend tours of the Adriance Farmhouse run from 11:00am to 4:00pm on the hour and half-hour, with the last tour at 3:30pm. Admission is free, and reservations are not required.

Seasonal Events and Activities
Seasonal offerings at Queens Farm include hayrides, plants for sale and opportunities to feed some of the livestock. Hayrides are offered daily, weather permitting: from 1pm to 4pm on weekdays and 11am to 4pm on weekends.
The Farm Store sells seasonal plants from spring through fall. Its May Plant Sale features vegetable seedlings propagated at Queens Farm using organic methods.
You may feed sheep and goats with feed purchased at the Farm Store. The daily quantity is limited, and livestock should not be fed any other food.
